What Are Adaptogens
Adaptogens are herbs and plants that reportedly help support your adrenal system. They help your body cope with stress, and promote healthy function by regulating hormonal balance. In other words, they help your body deal with the many stresses of life.
In total, there are at least 70 types of plants that are considered “adaptogens.” Here are a few popular adaptogens that we included in Bring It:
Some adaptogenic plants don’t taste *amazing* on their own, which is why they’re often added to tinctures and supplements, making them palatable… even enjoyable. If you like the taste of our blend on it’s own: amazing. If you don’t love the unique taste, you can always just drop a little into your morning cup of matcha.
Bring It: CBD + Adaptogens
While CBD is not technically classified as an adaptogen, it is a plant that provides a stress-reducing effect on your body.
On their own, adaptogens and CBD both have the ability to help with your stress levels. Together? They’re dynamite. When taken in tandem, these two compounds are supposed to possess a beautiful synergistic effect, boosting your body’s healing processes and promoting homeostasis. Bring It pairs the relaxing, anti-anxiety effects of CBD with a variety of our favorite adaptogens to boost the benefits of each.
CBD + adaptogens are proven to be safe, when taken in normal doses. However, we always recommend having a conversation with your doctor or a trusted healthcare professional before you add a supplement to your daily routine.
How Much Bring It Should I Take?
When it comes to taking CBD oil, we like to suggest starting out “low and slow.”
Basically, when you’re first starting out, you’ll want to begin with the smallest dose possible, and go from there. Wait a few days (even a week) to increase your dose if you aren’t experiencing the results that you’d like.
The calming effects of CBD aren’t going to hit you like THC will; they’re more subtle and sweet. So, if after a few weeks you’re not “feeling” it, go ahead and up your dosage a bit.
The journey to finding that sweet spot might take a little patience (and trial-and-error), but we promise that it’ll be worth it when you finally nail down your dosage.
FYI, Bring It comes with a simple dosage chart to help you figure it all out.
